Our new clubhouse cost £1.4 million and was opened in 2014. It is one of the best water sport clubhouses in the UK. The building is large, modern and airy.    NRC shares the building with Norwich Canoe Club, Norwich School Boat Club, Norwich High School and University of East Anglia Boat Club under the banner organisation Whitlingham Boathouse. It is a place where international and elite level sportsmen and women of different sports mingle happily & positively with Masters, Novices, Juniors, families and non-rowers.

The state-of-the-art ergo/weights gym is fully equipped with lifting weights, squat racks and lifting platforms. The gym has a long wall of large windows overlooking a small Broad. Squads and groups hold regular training sessions through the week. Training and fitness sessions are planned and carried out under the control of highly experienced coaches and trainers.

The ground floor houses 8’s, 4’s, 2’s, 1x's and our fleet of Explore boats used for novice training and social rowing. There are also 2 older boathouses for more crew and sculling boats.

The new quay heading can take two 8’s at once allowing space for fast and easy access to and from the river.

Car parking space for members only is at the top of the lane by the old clubhouse. During the Norwich Head, the Carrow Cup, the Norfolk Sculls and for any visiting clubs, there is good parking at the new clubhouse for competitors’ trailers and towing vehicles. Excellent overflow council-owned car parking is also available nearby.
